There wasn’t enough ice anywhere to support foot travel as of Tuesday morning, and even though ice does form overnight on most lakes, it typically melts away during the day. Some of the ice in the bays and other areas on certain lakes has remained over the past week, but it seems to come and go....
It hasn’t stayed cold enough for the ice to remain intact or thicken from one day to the next, so you could still get a boat in on most lakes as of Tuesday morning.
Ponds are now skimmed with ice, and on several lakes the ice has developed in some bays and on shorelines.
