Cynthia Anderson, 57

Cynthia “Cindy” Joy Anderson, age 57 of Buffalo, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019. She was born in Minneapolis on April 25, 1962, the daughter of James and Lois (Berg) Klatke.

Cindy graduated from Groves Learning Academy. She was a dedicated, hard worker, and recently worked with Functional Industries.

She enjoyed puzzles, latch hooking, word search puzzles, dancing to live music, and spending time with her family and friends.

On February 18, 1989, Cynthia Klatke and Jeffrey Anderson were united in marriage at Golden Valley United Methodist Church. The two were blessed with a daughter, Krystal.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Lois Klatke; and father-in-law, Charles Anderson.

Cindy will be dearly missed by: her husband, Jeff Anderson; daughter, Krystal (Tyler) Purtilo; grandson, Easton Purtilo; father, James Klatke; brothers, Mark Klatke, Brad (Andrea) Klatke; mother-in-law, Elva Anderson; brothers-in-law, Stephen (Dawn) Anderson, Brian (Jane) Anderson, Kevin (Heather) Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2019 at 12:00 noon, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Buffalo Ev. Covenant Church in Buffalo. Burial to follow at Swedish Mission Cemetery in Buffalo.

Serving the family is The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

 


William Buschel, 73

William (Bill) Buschel passed away at his home in Red Oak, Texas on June 7, 2019.  He was born May 15, 1946 to Herman and Margaret Buschel in Mora.

Bill attended Buffalo High School until he went into the Navy in June of 1967. He was assigned to the USS F.D. ROOSEVELT until his discharge in May of 1967. On December 21, 1968, he married Linda Moy, of Waverly. Together, they had two children, Scott & Lynette. The family lived in Buffalo until moving to Texas in 1980.

Bill is survived by: his wife of 50 years, Linda; his son, Scott and Lili Buschel; daughter Lynette and Larry Hutson; his three beautiful grandchildren, Denise, Joseph and Kaitlyn Hutson; also his brother, Jim and wife Noreen, of McDonough, GA; sister-in-law, Mary Buschel, of Buffalo; brother-ln-laws, Alan and Jim Moy, of Waverly; and Willard Swanson of Phoenix, AZ; plus, many nieces & nephews.

There will be a memorial for Bill on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.  The location is the Irving Elks Lodge in Irving, TX where he was a member for many years. His remains will be buried at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Clayton Decker, 87

Clayton Jerome Decker, age 87, of Waverly passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019.

He was born on January 31, 1932 in Waverly the son of John and Mary (Dalbec) Decker. Clayton graduated from St. Mary’s High School 1951.

On June 18, 1955, Clayton J. Decker and Phyllis A. Fobbe were joined in holy marriage at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. God blessed their marriage with eight children.

He was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly and belonged to the Knights of Columbus.

Clayton, along with his family, made a living as a dairy farmer in Marysville Township for many years. He also did livestock trucking and enjoyed going to sale barns and auctions. 

His pride and joy was training and driving many teams of horses and mules. He loved gardening and supplying all his children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends with an abundance of produce.

Clayton’s greatest love of all was for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he cherished with every bit of his heart.

Clayton is survived by: his loving wife, Phyllis; children, Debbie (Randy “Chunk”) Breyer, Mike (Jane) Decker and Pat Decker all of Waverly, Diane (Gerard) Rohl of Buffalo, Cathy (Mike) Grosser and Tom (Lisa) Decker all of Waverly, Annie (Greg) Stevermer of Rochester and Jody Decker of Tucson, Arizona; fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, John & Mary Decker; his brother, Vincent Decker; and by his great-grandson, Zeke Anderson.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Clayton Decker will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.  Father Kenneth O’Hotto will be the Celebrant. Private interment St. Mary’s Cemetery-Waverly. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, June 29 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Casket Bearers will be Lucas Breyer, Jacob Decker, Nick Decker, Kellen Grosser, Logan Decker and Zachary Stevermer.

Paul Hill, 70

Paul Hill, 70 years old, formerly of Cokato and Hanover, passed away on March 15, 2019 in Noble, LA.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Walter and Esther Hill; daughter, Monica Hill; and brother, Merlin Hill.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his wife of 46 years, Liz Paddie Hill of Noble, LA; son Nicholas Hill of Hanover; sister, Mary Ann Humola of Annandale; and brother, Peter Hill of Plymouth.

A celebration of life will be held at the family home in Hanover, starting at noon on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 112 Millpond Trail, Hanover.

 

 

 


Clinton Lambert, 91

Clinton G. Lambert, age 91, of Buffalo passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Park Terrace Assisted Living.

A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28. A Memorial Service for Clinton G. Lambert will be held on Friday, June 28 at 4:00 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Inurnment at Howard Lake Cemetery.

Isabella Yager, 98

Isabella J Yager was born in Bowdoin, Montana to parents Michael and Elizabeth (Fischer) Joa on March 18, 1921.

At the age of three the family moved to Shotley, Minn. and farmed on the shores of Upper Red Lake. She attended Shotley Brook School then graduated from Kelliher High School.

Isabella attended college in Minneapolis and worked there until she was married to Myron Yager at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in 1948. This marriage was blessed with three children. For 36 years, they operated a dairy farm north of Waverly. In retirement they enjoyed traveling and wintered in Pharr Texas for 17 years. They then moved to Cokato, where Isabella passed away on June 17, 2019, at the age of 98 years three months.

Isabella was an active member of the community. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, she was a leader with the Marysville Merrymakers 4-H club for 14 years, an American Legion Auxiliary member for 70 years, involved with many community organizations, bowling league and card clubs. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidery, puzzles and was an avid reader.  Her family always came first in her life. She and Myron enjoyed their many years of ballroom dancing and play cards with friends.

She was preceded in death by: husband, Myron in 2007; infant Son; her parents, Mike and Elizabeth Joa; father and mother-in-law, Erwin and Emma Yager; sister, Eleanora McCarthy, sisters and brothers-in-law, Howard McCarthy, Joyce Yager, Lorraine (Bill) Wood, Gloria Feik (Jack Gausman), James Fondel; and Nephew, John Feik.

She is survived by: sons, Roland (Debra) of Corcoran, Dennis (Jeannine) of Cross Lake; daughter, Sharon (Brian) Arvold of Minneapolis, seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lilly Mae Fondel; nieces, nephews and host of family and friends.

Pallbearers were Stephen Slater, Jessie Lesmeister, Craig Yager, Peter Jetson, Nathan Arvold, and Josh Arvold.

Visitation at St. Mary’s Church in Waverly was on Monday, June 24 from 4-8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. Visitation was on Tuesday, June 25 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to 11 a.m. mass. Internment was at the Howard Lake Cemetery.
