William Stuhr, 58

William “Bill” Stuhr, age 58, of Buffalo, formerly of Annandale, died Sunday, June 21, 2020.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2020 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Annandale with Fr. John Meyer as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Social distancing and face coverings are required by the church’s COVID-19 Procedure and Protocol Policy.

William Joseph Stuhr was born December 4, 1961 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to John and Marjorie (Gillitzer) Stuhr. Bill grew up outside of Annandale at his family’s resort, Bass Lake Resort. He attended school in Annandale. Following high school, Bill entered the United States Army, where he honorably served his country for eight years. On October 16, 1993, Bill was united in marriage to Jean McConico at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale. They later divorced.

Bill has made Buffalo his home for the past 30 years. He worked for Culligan in Buffalo for several years, followed by Suburban Manufactoring in Monticello and, most recently, at Solar Plastics in Delano. Growing up on the lake, Bill always enjoyed being on or near the water, whether it be fishing or pontooning. Bill always remained partial to Bass Lake and the fond memories he had over the years.

He was an avid reader and was always willing to play a game of cards. Bill treasured the times he was able to be in the presence of his friends and family, who will fondly remember his kind heart. Nothing brought Bill greater joy than when he became a dad to Chase and then grandfather to Kinsley.

Bill is survived by his son, Chase (Amber Maki) Stuhr, of Buffalo; adoring granddaughter, Kinsley Stuhr; siblings, Lynn (Marty Goblowsky) Stuhr, of Anchorage, and Jean (Lonn) Just, of Annandale; nephews and nieces, Tommy Pulley, Jesse Just, and Sami Just; and other family members and dear friends.
