Chad Dority, 47
Chad Lee Dority, 47, of Montrose, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Chad was a wonderful son to Patricia and her husband, Matt Salonek.
Chad leaves behind four brothers and one sister, Jason, Rickey, Seth, Brock, and Echo.
He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, Dylan, Kala, Andrew, and Morgan.
Chad is preceded in death by his two fathers, Lee Dority, and Robert Winters; and his uncle, Rickey Brady.
Chad’s funeral will be held at WestPointe Church, 9090 Highway 12 E, Delano, MN, on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at WestPointe Church. Lunch will be provided following the service.
Sharon Hareid, 78
Sharon Kay Hareid, age 78, of Buffalo, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021. She was born February 28, 1943, in Dumont, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford “Bud” and Lila (Stubbe) Minnier. Sharon grew up and attended school in Dumont, Iowa.
Sharon moved to Minneapolis in the early 1960s, where she met her future husband. On August 22, 1964, Sharon Minnier and John Hareid were united in marriage. They made their home in Buffalo, where they raised their two sons, Todd and Ryan.
Sharon was a nursing assistant at the Buffalo High School for many years. She truly enjoyed attending and working high school sporting events collecting tickets. It allowed her to see the students she had been helping as a nurse. She also loved to watch her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Sharon also worked many years at Rain and Hail until her retirement. She made a lasting impression on those she worked with.
She enjoyed crafting, cooking -especially soup!; and playing cards with her 500 card group. Sharon was an extremely helpful and loving individual. She was the friend that everyone could count on, and “Grandma” and “GG” to many.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Hareid; son, Ryan Hareid; parents, Bud and Lila Minnier; and sister-in-law, Mary Minnier.
Sharon is survived by her son, Todd (Renee) Hareid; grandchildren, Melissa (Steve) Eagles, Anthony (Irina) Hareid, Jonathan Hareid (Bethany), Dylan Hareid; great-grandchildren, Steven and Hailey Eagles, Mia and Alex Hareid; siblings, Roger (Lucy) Minnier, Richard Minnier, Sue Rodemeyer; and many nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.
A funeral service will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Burial to follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo.

Mabel Liefert, 90
Mabel passed away on October 28, 2021, at the Buffalo Hospital in Buffalo, MN. Mabel was born on December 29, 1930, in Monticello, the daughter of Leo and Florence (Wilken) Klatt.
Mabel had a big heart and was a frequent volunteer. She donated her time and talents to the Monticello American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Hospital Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels, and the local blood drives. She enjoyed playing cards, Bunco, Bingo, going to the casino (and winning!), also enjoyed being around people due to her friendly and outgoing personality.
Mabel is survived by her son, Thomas (Barbara) Liefert, of Monticello; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Diane) Klatt, of Clearwater; sister-in-law, Joan Klatt, of Monticello; daughter-in-law, Jan (Jeff) Hofford; many nieces, nephews, many other relatives, and friends.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; son, Jerry Liefert; sisters and their spouses, Verna and Warren Snodgrass, Hattie and Glen Arnold; brothers, Robert, Roger, Delbert, and Gordon Klatt.
Visitation was held from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, with prayer service at 7 p.m. at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 E. Broadway, Monticello. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 413 E. 3rd St., Monticello with one-hour visitation prior to service at church. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Monticello.

Amy Marquette, 25
On Friday, October 29, 2021, Amy Marquette passed away. She was born January 18, 1996, the youngest daughter of Perry and Lisa Marquette. Amy was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith.
Growing up, Amy was involved in Wright County 4-H, where she showed sheep, beef cattle, rabbits, dogs and poultry, participated in shooting sports, State 4-H Arts-In, and many other activities. Amy showed sheep at the Minnesota State Fair. She was a Girl Scout, and achieved the Silver Award. Amy attended Buffalo High School and graduated in 2014. In high school, Amy was a Buffalo FFA member, where she served as a chapter officer, received her State and American Degrees. She played the bassoon and clarinet as well, as a member of the band, marching band and drumline.
After high school, Amy went on to graduate from Ridgewater College with a degree in Veterinary Technology, as well as serve as a State, Regional and National Officer. She later graduated from SMSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Education and Science. Amy had many different jobs in high school and college; Apple Jack Orchard, Boreboms, Gurleys and Christiansons Farms, Cottonwood Co-op, Lakeside Companion Animal Clinic, Hyvee Foods and American Preclinical Service.
Amy was full of life and loved by so many people. She was looking forward to becoming an Agriculture teacher in Buffalo in January. Her smile overtook the room when she walked in. She will be forever missed.
Amy is survived by her parents, Perry and Lisa Marquette; brothers, Aaron (Nicole) and Craig (JoLee), and sister Sara (David) Berning; eight nieces and nephews, Isaac, Natalee, Samuel, John, Hannah, Elizabeth Marquette, Danna and Sadie Berning; grandmother, Ladonna Marquette; aunts and uncles, Karen (Rod) Cavalier, David (Donna) Otten, Patty Wirgau and Judy Collins, Stuart (Cathy) Marquette, Renee Marquette and Linda Marquette; countless friends and her special pets.
Amy was preceded in death by her brother, Jason; and grandparents, Harriet and Canute Otten, and Alvin (Jack) Marquette; uncles, Rex Collins, Cecil Wirgau, and Raymond Marquette.
Internment will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 6. Graveside service only.
Peter Nunnink, 76
Peter Arthur Nunnink, beloved husband, father, grandpa, and brother passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021, at age 76.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Suzan; his daughters, Beth Nunnink and Julie Nunnink Koppinger and her husband, Nathan; his three grandchildren, Jarred Koppinger, Ian Nunnink, and Jayden Koppinger; his brother, Stephen Nunnink and wife, Randi; his sister, Tricia (Nunnink) Smith and her husband, Dan; and his sister, Nancy Nunnink Jones.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Nomi and Clem Nunnink; and his brother-in-law, A.D. Jones.
Peter spent his career teaching math at Buffalo High School. He loved working with kids. He helped start three varsity hockey programs at Shanley High School (Fargo), Buffalo High School, and Delano High School. He coached hundreds of kids in football, hockey, basketball, and softball, including his daughters. He loved his daughters beyond compare and doted on his grandchildren and was the heart of the family. Words cannot express how much he was loved and how much he’ll be missed.
Memorial Service will be on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Delano United Methodist Church. Gathering of family and friends will be at 9:30 a.m. and the service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Please wear a mask.
Memorials received will be split to give a scholarship to a senior at Buffalo High School and a senior at Delano High School. A private inurnment will occur at a later date.
What many of you may not know is that he was fully vaccinated and a constant mask wearer, but contracted breakthrough COVID that killed him. As we celebrate his life, we beg each of you to protect yourself, your family, and your friends and neighbors. Please don’t let this tragedy be yours. Please protect those who cannot protect themselves (like Peter). Please get vaccinated and wear your mask. At the visitation and reception, there will be bagged lunches so you can go home or stay to eat, but whatever you do, please be safe.

Keith Schuft, 66
Keith Milton Schuft, age 66, of Buffalo, passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2021, at his home.
Keith was born February 15, 1955, in Hennepin County, MN, to Harold and Donna (Babatz). He graduated from Delano High School in 1974 and married Nancy (Jones) in August 1975 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano. Keith was planning to retire soon as a truck driver for McCormick Construction, where he took extra pride in keeping the company’s Peterbilt glistening as it traveled the country. This habit carried to his home life where he is known as “Polish Princess!”
In 2014, after more than 30 years of volunteer service, he retired from the Wright County Sheriff’s Reserves. He spent his evenings and weekends patrolling county parks, providing crowd control at parades and community events, and sampling all the food at the Wright County Fair. When he wasn’t busy with his Reserves duties, he could be found on his Goldwing or snowmobile or in his favorite chair spending time with his growing family.
After his retirement from the Reserves, he and Nancy used their extra time together to travel with their camper, exploring the State Parks. He loved his grandchildren dearly, sharing motorcycle and snowmobile rides, or taking them camping.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy; children, Crystal, of Buffalo, Ken (Abby), of Buffalo, and Tony (Carrie), of Surprise, AZ; grandchildren, Shayla, Paige, Adam, Darren, Tyler, Samantha, Riley, and Aubree; and his brother, sister, and Nancy’s three siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Kenneth Jones; and mother-in-law, Bertha Jones.
Private service for the family will be held at The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo, MN.
All are welcome to celebrate Keith’s life on Saturday, November 20, at Rockford Township Hall from 12:00 to 6:00 pm.
Memorials can be sent to the Wright County Sheriff Reserve.
