Wright County Area Fishing & Hunting Report for 1/8/21

Many area lakes have up to 10 inches of ice, but as little as 3 inches on parts of others.

There is still a short window to catch walleyes during the evening hours in 16-24 ft. of water on Clearwater, Buffalo, and Big Swan Lakes. You can find crappies in 15-25 ft. during the evening hours on Lake Francis, Lake John and Clearwater Lake. You will find success if you fish the 12-18 ft. weed edges to catch sunfish and northern pike, on Maple, Granite, Pleasant and Clearwater Lakes, along with, Lake Marie and Lake John.
