Wright County Area Fishing & Hunting Report for 1/7/22

Ice depths vary from 8 to 12 inches on most of the area lakes. The use of ATVs remains the best travel option at this point. Sunfish and crappies can be located at 9-15 ft. on Indian, Maple, Pleasant, Clearwater, Granite and Rock Lakes. Fish Clearwater, Granite, Pleasant, Sugar, and Lake Francis, where pike are being caught at 8-12 ft. using tip ups and sucker minnows. Fish during low-light hours at 16-22 ft. on Pleasant, Cedar, Sugar and Clearwater Lakes to catch some walleyes. Anglers are finding success by using dead sticks and glow spoons, along with a fathead minnow.
