Jory Louisiana, age 75, of Buffalo passed away on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at his residence.

Tina-Marie Low, 63

Tina-Marie Low, age 63, of Buffalo passed away at her residence on Saturday, September 13, 2025.  Visitation will be Saturday, September 27 from Noon to 2 PM with funeral at 2:00 PM at The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo.

Clare Post, 96

Clare Post of Buffalo, born January 12, 1929, passed away at home on August 30, 2025 at age 96. She was an artist whose creativity was endless; using happy colors, she boldly painted the world around us with great style. 

She is survived by her four daughters, Paula Post, Paige (Len) John, Perrin Post, and Penne Post. She will be missed by her beloved granddaughter, Alexandra (Dan) Olson, two great-grandchildren, Hazel and Henry, her brother Bill Hakala, her husband Robert’s siblings, Lois Post, Sharon Demoss, Roger Post, and Diane Wolfe, many nieces and nephews, and by her cat, Mr. Purrfect. 

Clare was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her siblings, Dean Hakala, and Corinne Koefod. She will be remembered by her art students and fellow teachers from Buffalo High School as a quiet leader and a great listener. Our Mother believed in self-discovery and thought we all should live the life we imagine. Clare did just that until her final sunset over Buffalo Lake.

Dolores Puffer, 90 

Dolores Lucille Puffer, age 90 of Buffalo, MN, devoted wife and friend, passed away peacefully on her sixty-ninth wedding anniversary date, September 8, 2025, at Park View Care Center in Buffalo, MN. 

She was born on February 1, 1935, in Greenwood Township, Minnesota, to Otto and Edna (Steinke) Kettenacker.  Dolores was born and raised on a farm near Rockford.  Dolores was baptized into the Christian faith on March 17, 1935, at Salem Lutheran Church in Greenwood Township, where she was later confirmed on March 21, 1948. Her faith remained a central part of her life, guiding her with strength, compassion, and grace.

She attended Rockford High School until her junior year when her family moved to Buffalo.  Dolores graduated from Buffalo High School and began working at Oakley National Bank where she met her future husband, Dwayne.  Upon seeing her for the first time Dwayne told one of his co-workers that “I am going to marry that girl.”  On September 8, 1956, Dolores was united in marriage to Dwayne Puffer at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Minnesota. 

Dolores was employed at Oakley National Bank in Buffalo from 1953 to 1977, where she was known for her diligence and integrity. Beyond her professional life, Dolores gave generously of her time and talents to her church community. She taught Sunday School, was a member of the choir at St. John’s Lutheran Church and she and Dwayne never missed a Sunday at church.

During her life Dolores will always be remembered for being stern and opinionated, but always remained gracious in all that she did.  She also had a giggle that once it started it was hard to stop and it became infectious.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne; parents, Otto & Edna Kettenacker and brother, Harold Kettenacker

She is survived her sister-in-law, Margie Puffer and her family; nephews, Dwayne (Lois) Kettenacker and Darryl (Sue) Kettenacker and their families

A service celebrating Dolores’s life and faith will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, MN.  Luncheon to be held at the chapel following the service.

Officiating will be Pastor Chris Ryan of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Buffalo, MN

Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford, MN

Carl Speikers, 87

Carl R. Speikers, 87, of Buffalo, MN, passed away on Friday, September 12th after a brave battle of 22 years with Parkinson’s Disease.

He was the third of four sons born in Montgomery Mn to Reiner and Angeline (Stadler) Speikers.

He attended St. Lawrence Grade School and in 1956 graduated from Bethlehem Academy in Faribault.

He worked at Nutting Truck and Castor Company after high school.  He was a stand out with the Softball Team.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963. After his discharge, he attended Brown Institute and received a degree in electronics.  He was mechanically talented and enjoyed fixing and inventing anything to do with mechanics.  He was the neighborhood “Mr. Fix-it”.

He used his talents to the fullest extent working in Maple Grove assisting in the design and building packaging machines.  Upon completion of the project, he would travel to the machine’s destination to educate employees as to how to use the equipment.

On October 25, 1974, he and Judy Smith were married in a candlelight ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. They were blessed with nearly 51 years of a very happy marriage.

They enjoyed concerts, theater, sports venues, and traveling the US and the world.  Of the many trips they took, one of his favorites was to games parks in South Africa.

He will be remembered for his kindness, intellect, and always willing to help anyone.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, Andrew (Janet) Speikers & Roger (Kathleen) Speikers; nephew, David Speikers; in-laws, Jerome and Marie Smith

He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy; brother, Martin (Jane) Speikers and 10 nieces, nephews and their families.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday. September 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo, MN.  Celebrant will be Father Austin Barnes.

Luncheon will be at the church following the mass.

Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
