Bruce Anderson, 75
Bruce D. Anderson, age 75, longtime MN State Senator, died Monday, July 21, 2025, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral services for Senator Bruce D. Anderson will be held on Monday, July 28, at 3 P.M. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Buffalo. Interment with military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A visitation will be held AT THE CHURCH, Sunday, July 27, from 5-8 P.M. Further visitation on Monday, July 28, one hour prior to services.
Serving the family is The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo.

Stephen Jeske, 76
Stephen F. Jeske, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2025. He was born on August 10, 1948, in Watertown, MN, to Eldon Brooker (Buddy) Sr. and Helen Marie (Younkin) Jeske.
Stephen served in the US Army as Private, E-2, doing two tours in Vietnam, honorably discharged July 1974.
He became a HAM radio operator and met his future wife, Mary Amdahl, via HAM radio. They enjoyed 25 years living in Colorado and Minnesota until her passing June 2004. He spent many hours collecting and repairing radios for the rest of his life.
He is survived by his two sisters, Lynda (Roger) Stromenger, of Elk River, and Joni (Annette) (Dean) Falde, of St. Francis, MN; and sister-In-law, Sandy (Eldon Jr.) Jeske, of Buffalo; many nieces and nephews. Also, his special friend, Karen Seth.
Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia; wife, Mary; parents; and brother (Eldon Jr.); and brother-in-law (Roger).
Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial/Celebration of Life for Steve. It will be held at the Peterson Chapel, 119 Central Avenue, Buffalo, MN 55313 on Saturday July 26, 2025, visitation at 9:30 a.m. with service at 10:30 a.m. followed by a lunch reception at Huikko’s, 1207 N Highway 25, Buffalo, MN.

Charlotte LaPlant, 82
Charlotte Marie LaPlant, age 82, of rural Buffalo, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
She was born on November 8, 1942, in Watertown, the daughter of Irving and Wally Agnes (Durre) Dalbec.
On June 15, 1963, Charlotte Marie Dalbec and Gerald David LaPlant were joined in holy marriage.
Charlotte and Gerald farmed together for forty-four years and raised three children, while also owning and operating LaPlant Sanitation for twenty-five years. During their time together, they enjoyed trips to the lake home, winters in Florida, and time with family and friends.
Gerald LaPlant preceded his wife in death in 2017.
Charlotte was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo.
Survived by a son, David LaPlant; a daughter, Deanna LaPlant; grandchildren; siblings, Sharon Saari, Virgil Dalbec, Thomas Dalbec, Marion Bryant, and Barbara Breingan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by a son, Darrell; her parents; by a brother, Walter Dalbec; and by a sister, Carolyn Hartneck.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Charlotte Marie LaPlant will be held on Friday, July 25, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo.
Interment St. Francis Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, AT THE CHURCH one hour prior to Mass.

Kenneth Robasse, 86
Kenneth Eugene Robasse, age 86, of Buffalo, passed away peacefully on July 16 at his home in Maple Lake surrounded by loved ones. Kenny enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his motorcycle, tinkering in the garage, and, most importantly, spending time with his many friends and family. There wasn’t anywhere Kenny went that he didn’t know somebody.
Survived by sons, Kevin Robasse (Gail), Charles Robasse (Chris); daughter, Jody Loney (Steve); stepsons, David Frye (Ann), Terry Frye (Tina); stepdaughter, Sherry Midas (Gary); grandchildren, Cole Carlson, Tyler Loney, Kyle Thielke (Kelsey), Kaitlin Loney, and Hanah Robasse; step-grandchildren, Jenny Chrislip, Jared Chrislip, Allison Patton, Kelsey Patton, Dayton Frye, Sam Frye, and Rachel Frye; great grandchildren, Alexia Johnson, Grace Carlson, Callie Thielke; and sister-in-law, Joyce Robasse.
Preceded in death by parents, Walter and Leona Robasse; wife, Janice Robasse; brother, Ralph Robasse; stepdaughter, Kelly Patton; step-grandson, Nathan Frye; and step-granddaughter, Katie Patton.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on August 17, from 1-4 P.M. at his home located at 5069 33rd St. NW, Maple Lake, MN.

Ginny Russell, 79
Ginny Mae Elliott Russell passed away suddenly at Fairview Southdale Hospital on Feb. 20, 2025, six days short of her 80th birthday.
Ginny was born on Feb. 26, 1945, in Buffalo, MN, to Harvey and Nellie Elliott.
She attended Buffalo schools and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1963.
Ginny had a successful career in the insurance industry.
On August 15, 1968, Ginny married William Vance Russell. They spent a number of years in Missouri and Colorado. They moved back to Bloomington, MN, where they lived at the time of Ginny’s death.
On April 26, 2025, two months after Ginny’s death, her husband, Vance, passed away suddenly.
Ginny is survived by her son, Michael; daughter-in-law, Amanda; loving grandchildren, Eric, Amy, and Ryan. She is also survived by sisters, Pat Olson and Zella Laliberte; and brother, Tom Elliott and wife, Emmy; also, Barb Elliott, Clare Elliott; as well as many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ginny was preceded in death by her mother, father; brothers, Rodger, Douglas, Donald, Duane (Porky), and Bruce; sisters-in-law, Dolly, Mary, and Glo. Also preceded in death by her beloved sister, Beverly Elliott Barringer and husband, Roger.

Thomas Stuhr, 70
Thomas Steven Stuhr, born on December 16, 1954, in Maple Lake, MN, passed away on July 19, 2025, in Peoria, AZ, at the age of 70.
Thomas was the cherished son of Kathleen and Russell Stuhr. He graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1973 and embarked on a prosperous career in the field of underground utilities. He initially founded and owned Lakeridge Communications, later concluding his career at M&P Utilities. Thomas retired in 2020 after a successful career marked by dedication and achievement.
He was a man of many passions, including fishing, golfing, and traveling across the US, from Arizona to Minnesota, to savor the delightful Minnesota summers.
Thomas’s life was blessed with love and family. He was first married to Constance Pribyl, with whom he had two children, Nichole and Russell. After their divorce, Thomas found love again with Jill Swingle.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen and Russell Stuhr; and brothers-in-law, Larry Mares and Lester Langanki.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jill Swingle; his children, Nichole (Sam) Burvee and Russell (Erica) Stuhr; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Burvee, Tate Burvee, Daric Stuhr, Toby Stuhr, Kaylee Curtis, and Kody Curtis; his siblings, Kay Johnson, Karen Langanki, Deb (Joe) Pribyl, April Swingle, and Gary Swingle.
A private family service will be held in Maple Lake, MN, at a future date to honor and celebrate the life of Thomas Steven Stuhr.
