Holiday Train saw one of its largest crowds in Buffalo

It was one of the largest turn outs in Buffalo for the CPKC (Canadian Pacific Kansas City Limited) Holiday Train on Wednesday, December 13. The train arrived at the 5th Street NE Railroad Crossing for a jolly evening of fun and generosity. 

The CPKC Holiday Train supports local food shelves, as it travels through the United States and Canada. During the holiday season each year, the Holiday Train visits hundreds of cities spreading cheer and promoting charitable giving. 

Many who attended the event, and were able, donated to the Buffalo Food Shelf. Food donations or monetary donations could be given at the event. The Buffalo Food Shelf received a donation of $4,500 from CPKC. They also received $1,870 cash donations from the public, $500 from the Buffalo Lions Club, and 1,090 food items were donated. 

During the event, there were also live performances by Dallas Smith and MacKenzie Porter. They played country music songs and some holiday classics. 

The event was well enjoyed by people of all ages. There were bonfires to stay warm, illuminated toys and accessories for kids, great music, and more. It was a fun and memorable evening for the public and most beneficial for Buffalo Food Shelf.
