Solbakken/Griffing Meadows Park

*Disclaimer- It is a community park, meaning their isn’t public parking (unless room on the streets) and Buffalo uses an Adopt-A-Park program to keep the parks maintained (See Park and Rec Page for more information).

Our next journey was to Solbakken/Griffing Meadows Park right across from the Buffalo Middle School.  This is an easily accessed park from the bike trails and is long and narrow.  Great space for the houses around it.  It has basic playground equipment and a basketball court.  This park was unique with a culvert through the middle of the green space to play, was just a little worried about my kiddos following that to the road.  Nice sign with weather tools on it and freshly mowed.  This park had a little grill for a BBQ in the park but only one picnic table (that was under the playground equipment when they there).  So thankful my girls didn’t want a picnic as that picnic table was VERY heavy and didn’t have the women power to move it, but we did bring a blanket and would have had ample space to have one.

Overall a nice park, our family appreciates the nature like setting of the park.  Nothing fancy, but fun.
