Gerald Goeb, 61

Gerald E. “Jerry” Goeb, age 61, of Buffalo, MN, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Our Lady of Peace in St. Paul, MN.

Jerry was born on August 12, 1960, in Buffalo, MN, the son of Aloysius G. and Jeanette G. (Prow) Goeb.

He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1979 and later attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, MN. On August 3, 1985, he married Valerie Kinikin.

Following their marriage, they resided in Buffalo where they raised their two sons, Ben and Matt. Jerry belonged to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was also active in Catholic Charities, The Salvation Army, and Red Cross. He inherited the gift of music from the Goeb family and performed in various local bands from the 1970’s through the mid 1990’s. Jerry was also an avid patron of Perkin’s. He was formerly employed as a machinist.

Jerry is survived by sons, Ben (Tracy Traut) Goeb, of Monticello, MN, and Matt Goeb, of Buffalo, MN; a daughter, Samantha Kinikin, of Cokato, MN; brothers, Kevin (Kathy Kramer) Goeb and Thomas Goeb, all of Montrose, MN; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private graveside service for Gerald “Jerry” Goeb was held at St. Francis Cemetery in Buffalo, MN. Father Nathaniel Meyers officiated. A public memorial/celebration of life to be held at a later date, to be determined.

Delores Pawelk, 84

Delores Ella (Woyke) Pawelk, age 84, of Waconia, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

She was born on October 24, 1937, in Albion Township, Wright County, the daughter of Albert and Erna (Koepke) Woyke.

Delores was baptized on November 14, 1937.

She was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith on June 3, 1951.

On June 2, 1983, she was joined in holy marriage to Donald C. Pawelk at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

Delores was formerly employed at Functional Industries.

Delores is survived by a brother, Ellsworth (Shirley Kostrzewski) Woyke, of Elk River; nephews, Brad Wyoke and Dave (Colleen) Woyke Sr.; several cousins further survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and by her parents, Albert and Erna.

A Funeral Service for Delores Pawelk will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Pastor Rob Jarvis will officiate.

Inurnment at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Middleville Township, Wright County.
