Family and friends are invited to an Open House celebrating Traci Brummer’s graduation from Buffalo High School on Saturday, June 6, 2015, from 1:00 to “whenever” at 3200 Abert Ave. NE, Buffalo.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, while also participating in soccer, drumline, and The HERD Marching Band. Traci also loves to impact the lives of others through service. She will be attending Ridgewater College, Willmar, to pursue her generals and explore Physical Therapy programming.

Scholarships

Southwest Minnesota State University

Leah Danielson, daughter of Jay and Nancy Danielson of Montrose, has been selected to receive a Richard A. Baun Memorial and a University Gala Fine Arts Scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year. Recipients of these scholarships are recognized for their academic accomplishments and outstanding leadership abilities.

Ben Kunze, son of Christina Kunze of Buffalo, Minn., has been selected to receive a University Gala Scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year. Recipients of these scholarships are recognized for their academic accomplishments and outstanding leadership abilities.

University of Jamestown, Jamestown, ND

Shayla King, of Monticello, was one of the University of Jamestown students receiving awards at the 2015 North Dakota Professional Communicators College Contest. She received Second Place in the category Feature Story for her piece “Long Day’s Journey to Africa.”

Morgan Fournier, daughter of Ricci and Diane Fournier of Maple Lake, received the Saint Thomas Aquinas Award for Excellence (philosophy award) at the annual Honors Convocation recently held.

Bailey Braatz, of Hanover, was the recipient of Outstanding Marketing Student, President's Volunteer Service Award.

Renee Tomala, of Annandale, was the recipient of John Polley Soil and Water Conservation Award.

 

Marquette Univ., Milwaukee, WI

Digory Anderson, a Freshman studying Psychology in the College of Arts & Sciences at Marquette University was chosen as one of eleven students to attend the National Jesuit Student Leadership Conference (NJSLC) at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, June 24 to June 28. On campus, Anderson, of Montrose, is involved in Hunger Clean-Up and Office of Residence Life.

Kirsten Olson, of Buffalo, is participating in the Summer Field Study “The Ecology of Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands” during the summer of 2015. She is the daughter of Mark and Karen Olson.
