Engagement

Gagnon-Benjamin

Brooke Mary Gagnon and Cody James Benjamin are pleased to announce their engagement.

Brooke, the daughter of Colleen and Jerry Gagnon, of Buffalo, is a graduate of Buffalo High School and pursuing a master’s degree in physician assistant studies at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Cody, the son of Sharon and Steve Painter, of Lititz, PA, and Maurice and Rovena Benjamin, of Beaufort, SC, is a graduate of Warwick High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a staff writer at the Faribault County Register in Blue Earth.

Brooke and Cody will be married at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg, on November 19, 2016. (P22, D25)

College News

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY

Kaitlin Rossi, St. Michael, joined more than 1,700 freshmen when Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute began classes on August 29.

 

Univ. of Minnesota, Morris

University of Minnesota, Morris professors and  student researchers collaborated in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Undergraduate Summer Research Program.

Stephanie Berg, of Buffalo, was a part of “Food in the undergraduate lab” with an assistant professor of chemistry.

Michael Cagle, of Rockford, participated in “Directional Dependence Modeling and its Application to Bioinformatics and Public Health” with a professor of statistics.

 

Reunions

BHS Class of 1950

The BHS Class of 1950 will hold their 66th Class Reunion on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Huikko’s Bowling & Entertainment Center located at 1207 Hwy. 25 N. in Buffalo. The restaurant is called “Bison Creek,” located in the back of the bowling center.

Visiting starts at 11 a.m., lunch follows at 11:30 a.m.

RHS All-School Reunion

 

The Rockford All-School Reunion will be on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the Bison Creek Event Center, 1207 Hwy. 12 N., Buffalo, with Social Hour at 11:00 a.m and dinner at 12:30 p.m.
