Engagements

Bartl-Jackson

Bruce and LeAnn Bartl, of Buffalo, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jessica Bartl, to Lt. Nathan Jackson, son of Aanders Jackson and Kay Van Erem, of Bismarck, ND.

Jessica is a 2008 graduate of Buffalo High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of North Dakota with a degree in Biology.  Nathan is a 2009 graduate of St. Mary’s Central High School in Bismarck, ND and a 2013 graduate of the University of North Dakota with a degree in Commercial Aviation and Flight Education.

Jessica is currently attending Southern California College of Optometry and will graduate May 2016.   Nathan is currently undergoing flight training in the F-15C fighter jet stationed in Oregon.

After a May wedding the couple will make their home wherever the US Air Force sends them! (P26, D29)

 

Kipp-Splettstoeszer

Terry and Linda Splettstoeszer, of Delano, and Dale and Kara Kipp, of Burnsville, are pleased to announce the engagement of their children Chad Splettstoeszer and Kayla Kipp.

Chad is a 2008 graduate of Delano High School and a 2012 graduate of North Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is employed at 3M in Brookings, South Dakota.

Kayla is a 2008 graduate of Burnsville High School and a 2013 graduate of North Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Sciences. She is employed at Brookings Health System in Brookings, South Dakota.

They will be married May 2, 2015, in Brookings. After a honeymoon to Disney World they will reside in Brookings, SD. (P26, D29)

 

Graduations

Montana State University

Michael Bonde, of Buffalo, graduated with Honors with an Honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University following the fall 2014 semester.  He is the son of Jeff and Cindy Bonde.

 

Scholarships

The College of St. Scholastica

Taylor Pilger, of Maple Lake, was awarded the Benedictine Scholarship, which is available to all new St. Scholastica applicants and is based on merit.
