 Schaefer-Downer

 

            Kayla Schaefer, daughter of Michael and Jeannie Schaefer, of Buffalo, and Paul Downer, son of Steve and Lisa Downer, of Buffalo, are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
            Kayla is a 2003 graduate of Buffalo High School and a 2007 graduate of Winona State University with a degree in biology. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in library science at the College of St. Catherine.
            Paul is a 2003 graduate of Buffalo High School and a 2007 graduate of Luther College with degrees in English and history. He is currently employed as the community editor of The Norwood Young America Times newspaper.
            They will be married on July 19, 2008 at Buffalo Evangelical Free Church in Buffalo. (P3,D6)
 


Gorder-Reiss

 

            Elizabeth Gorder and Tony Reiss are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
            Elizabeth is the daughter of Mark and Nancy Gorder, of Canby, Minnesota. She is a 2003 graduate of Canby High School and a 2007 graduate of South Dakota State University in Brookings. She is currently employed as a newspaper reporter for the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls. She is currently working toward a master’s degree in journalism through South Dakota State University.
            Tony is the son of Tim and Elizabeth Reiss, of Buffalo. He is a 2002 graduate of Buffalo High School. He is currently studying business marketing at the University of South Dakota. He is employed at Qwest Communications in Sioux Falls.
            An August 23, 2008 wedding is planned at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby, Minn. The couple will make their home in Brandon, S.D. (P3,D6)

            Michael and Corinne Mitchell, of Monticello, and Russell and Lynn Vetsch, of Annandale, are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Krysta Mitchell and Brandon Vetsch.

50th Anniversary

 

            Dick and Norma Marks, of Buffalo, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2008. Their two children and family and friends are blessed to have these two very special people in their lives! They had a small celebration with the immediate family. Congratulations! (P3,D6)
