Shifting Gears

Not everything at the Gear-Head Get Together is shiny and new! There were quite a few “in-progress” cars, like John Dingmann’s 1953 Chevrolet 210, pictured above. A popular classic, this ride does have a sparkling engine, and hopefully the promise of a new body soon to come for next year’s meet! (Photos by Miriam Orr)

This aquamarine 1955 Ford F-100 is vintage not only in make, but also in ownership - John and Kelly Boyle have owned this truck for 43 years, and the information page provided stated that it was a “first car.” The Boyle’s make their home in Buffalo, and, obviously, don’t mind showing off their Ford to the public.

A 1950 Chevy pickup made its way over to Maple Lake from Rogers. This purple beauty is owned and operated by Brent Heinz, as it sits soaking up sunlight in the evening of August 18.

Families from all over the area came to enjoy live music, and so did the Gear-Head Get Together staff!

Roger James, of Buffalo, owns this 1959 Chevy ambulance, which also turned up at the New London to New Brighton Antique Car Run on August 11.
